Lotus Blosum card

These are my first cards with the Lotus Blosum stamp set from Stampin'Up!, which were a one off catalogue set from the current Sale a Bration catalogue. There are similar stamp sets like the Painted Petals or Flower Patch Photopolymer Stamp set where you also get this layered effect.

There are many videos online about using photopolymer stamp sets, you can use different coloured ink (as I have here) or layer the same ink pad (as shown in this video).

So for this card set you will need the photopolymer stamp set, your clear block for the photopolymer stamps, some card stock and matching inks, and if you want the bow on the left then the bow builder punch.

So you need to:

1. Cut your A4 purple card stock in half, and then folder over your card base.

2. Stamp your card base with a back ground stamp, I used an old woodgrain one but there are plenty of different options. The card on the left had purple ink for the background stamp, the photo doesn't really show the effect, the one on the right has a white stamp pad.

3. Cut your piece of white paper smaller than your card stock.

4. Put your number 3 blosum stamp on the clear block, peel it off the piece of plastic and just stick it on.

5. Use the palest colour on the blosum stamp marked "3", I used stampin up markers for this so I had to colour in the stamp.

6. Turn it over and line up where you want the stamp and stamp your white card.

7. Clean your blosum and return it to the piece of plastic, repeat with "2"and your middle colour, and then repeat with "1"and your darkest colour. Remember, the clear block and the stamp are clear, so hover it above your card stock a bit and look down on it to decide if you have it lined up before making contact with your card stock. Remember, if you make a mistake you can always flick your piece of white card over and start again.

8. You need to repeat the process with the two stems for the flowers, you might just like one stem but if you want to continue the layered effect then again, the most solid one with the lightest colour first.

9 If you are going to use a greeting put it in the corner of your card.

10. Stick your white card down onto your purple base.

If you wanted to buy the Lotus Blosum you actually need to book a party soon before the Sale a Bration catalogue runs out. If you wanted to buy something in the regular catalogue I have some links below to layered floral stamp sets, you could contact me about booking a party or purchasing product:
