July's Creation Craft - Vertical Greetings
This month the $30 club ladies get their Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo classic stampin pads. The photo is of my stampin pads, obviously the members of the club will get their own new ink pads that don't have ink marks on them :D
It is possible to use your Stampin Pads for only part of the image, the Stampin Write Markers allow for more detail but you can also use the ink pads effectively.
This is me putting the Flirty Flamingo ink on the pot of the pot plant. For the purple cards with those two colours showing through in the leaves of the pot plants, I first inked up the entire stamp properly with the Peekaboo Peach ink, and then I only lightly tapped the darker ink pad onto the leaves intending not to fully cover it. If you want the whole area covered then simply ink it up properly, but you can also get a different look by intentionally not covering the whole area.
The designer series paper comes in six inch squares and for these cards I used three inch strips, so these six cards used less than three sheets of DSP.
I then stamped the images in layers, and intentionally didn't line them up so it was quicker and easier. First I stamped the pink pots, then the whole image in peach, and then last the green leaves.
Then I chose some matching DSP.
It was a similar process for the love heart card.
I am sorry about the particularly poor quality photos this month, but hopefully it is enough to help you to replicate the cards yourself.
In your package
This month in your package you will get the following items:
two pieces of half A4 scored Emerald Envy card stock (two green bases)
two pieces of half A4 scored Whisper White card stock (two white bases) which I scored at 14cm instead of in the middle, to give the overhang for the greeting
two pieces of one third A4 scored Sweet Sugarplum card stock (two purple bases)
six pieces of one quarter A4 Whisper White thin card stock for card inserts, or for stamping images
one piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock to make the background for your love heart card
one piece of Emerald Envy DSP, if you want something different to your Playful Palette DSP
I note that the green card in the picture used a piece of polka dot DSP from the Playful Palette pack, not the DSP coming in your envelopes (which is also polka dot on the back) but you can use the DSP for whatever you like of course.
I look forward to seeing what you all make this month.
