Tip Tuesday

Background stamps are great for adding some quick colour coordinated detail to our stamps, but some people find the stamp itself hard to use as it is so big. I have large hands so I don't mind handling the clear block F but there are alternatives to having to pick the whole thing up.

When you are inking it up, you can put it on the table face up and turn the ink pad upside down, rather than having the ink side face up and turning the stamp upside down. It is much easier to pick up and handle the ink pad than the stamp.

I intentionally stamped this background stamp crooked here for a different look.

You can also avoid picking up your F block at the stamping stage if you leave it still sitting on the table, face up, and turn the card upside down.

This means you will get ink on your fingers when you rub your fingers over the card to ensure full coverage, but what stamper doesn't have ink on their fingers?
