Tip Tuesday - Stampin Write Markers

Are you using your Stampin Write Markers for all they are worth? Obviously you can use them to get more detail on your stamps than simply stamping an ink pad, but you can also use them for so much more.

  • They can be used to fill in gaps in your stamp. Because you have both a thin and a thick side it doesn't matter if you missed a bit with a solid stamp, or a thin line, you can fill in the gap with the same coloured ink.

  • The lid can stick on top of the other lid, so you don't lose it. You don't want your Markers drying out.

  • You can colour in a clear block, and then use a blender pen or aqua painter to pick up the colour.

  • You can use them when you hand write your greeting. If you don't have a greeting stamp for inside your card then you could write a greeting on a piece of whisper white card stock that is the same colour as your card base. If you have a greeting which you have stamped on in the same colour as your card base, then you could write in a coordinating colour. Remember, all the Stampin' Up! families a colour coordinated, you don't need to question whether a colour will clash if they are in the same set.

  • They are cheaper than ink pads, you can own 38 colours for $190 if you purchase the Many Marvelous Markers set.

  • They are a great way to start out if you want different colours without buying a whole set. You can buy the In Color markers for $26.
