Make a bigger bag

Here are some instructions for making a bigger bag using your gift bag punch and Stampin' Trimmer. Use these instructions to make a bag that is 20cm wide, 27cm tall and 5cm deep.

Start with two pieces of 12" x 12" designer series paper (DSP).

Take one piece and start making the gusset for your bag in the ordinary fashion.

Then flip your piece of DSP over and make a gusset on the other side.

Now you have half of your bag done, ypu might need to use your trimmer to score the base though.

For your other piece of DSP you are going to do nearly the same thing, but you don't need to do all the gusset steps cause ypu are just going to trim them off.  Let me show you the finished product so you understand.

So you are just making the inside score line for the gusset so you know where to score and cut, but if you accidentally make the whole gusset that is fine you are trimming it off anyway.

So, put your DSP in but you only need to do the inside score line and then punch.

So this is me making the score line (above), then move the score line along to the marker so you can punch out (below).

Then flip it over and repeat on the other side.

Once you have scored and punched out both tabs, use your Stampin Trimmer to trim off the excess.

Sorry I didn't realise the photo I took was so awful until I went to upload it.

You might also need to score the bottom to fold the flaps.

Now you have your 20cm x 27cm base.
