Tip Tuesday - Clear block alternatives

Clear blocks are great but sometimes you find yourself without them, maybe your kid is using your's, maybe you put it down two minutes ago and can't find it, maybe you have a friend coming over and you both want to stamp.

So what can you use instead?

Here are some alternatives.

• a glass - a drinking glass that has a flat bottom

• back of a stamp - if you have any wooden stamps you can use the back, or the sticker side of the stamp. You won't of course get the benefit of it being see through.

• an empty CD case (if anyone still has CDs :D )

• use a wood block, think of a kids' building block or a piece of Jenga. Stick a piece of packing tape over it to get the non porous surface.

• The back of your phone - again, not see through, and I haven't tried this but I have seen many people suggest it

You basically could use anything that was glass or acrylic.
